Reflets d’Elle
The photographic work of Carline Bourdelas delicately and poetically explores the states of the human soul. Through her images, she addresses the themes of loneliness, silence, childhood and femininity with great sensitivity.
Residing in Deauville, she draws her inspiration from the world of Bonjour Tristesse by Françoise Sagan, an iconic novel about a free, melancholic and lucid youth. His photographs capture this floating atmosphere, this imperceptible transition between innocence and a form of disenchanted awareness.
Light is omnipresent, but far from being dazzling, it envelops the scenes in a summer torpor, echoing Sagan's words: “The heat made me sluggish, indifferent to everything.”
Photographe française née en 1966 à Khemis (Algérie) et ayant grandi à Orléans, Carline Bourdelas vit et travaille à Neuilly-sur-Seine. Son travail, alliant mises en scène poétiques et superpositions d’images, explore des thèmes comme la solitude, l’enfance et la féminité, tout en cherchant à réécrire des histoires personnelles. Inspirée par les contes de fées, la Renaissance et le cinéma, elle est fascinée par la magie de l’instant photographié, figé dans le temps. Elle a notamment exposé au festival Planches Contact 2023 et à Photo Days (Paris).
