A balcony overlooking infinity

With Un balcon sur l’infini (A Balcony Over Infinity), Adrien Boyer continues his exploration of the Normandy coastline, extending work he began on the Var and Finistère coasts. Rather than depicting identifiable places, he captures shapes, details and moments that convey invisible emotions and thoughts. Between presence and absence, his images transform the seaside into a mirror, a space where the landscape becomes an invitation to reflection and introspection.
Through this project, Adrien Boyer invites us to rethink our relationship with the world, revealing the extraordinary in the ordinary and elevating the mundane to the status of an object of artistic contemplation.

French photographer Adrien Boyer was born in Paris in 1979 and lives in Paris. Influenced by surrealism and straight photography, he questions our perception of reality. After cities and landscapes, the sea has become a central motif in his work. He has exhibited at Unseen Amsterdam, Paris Photo and Photo London, and is represented by the Clémentine de la Féronnière gallery.
