Planches Contact Festival is launching its call for entries for the 2026 Young Photographic Creation Award, open to photographers under the age of 35. The aim of this award is to support and nurture emerging talent by promoting the production of new works and artistic experimentation in Normandy.
A GRANT AND A RESIDENCY TO CREATE
The winners will receive a grant of €6,000, divided equally between artistic remuneration (€3,000) and exhibition production (€3,000). They will also be invited to an artistic residency in Deauville between February and June 2026, where they will immerse themselves in the Normandy region alongside the festival's other guest artists. The works produced will be exhibited as part of the Planches Contact Festival, which will take place from 17 October 2026 to 3 January 2027.
WHO IS THE PRIZE FOR?
L’appel s’adresse aux photographes en début de carrière ou étudiants, qu’ils présentent un projet individuel ou collectif. La participation est gratuite et ouverte aux photographes du monde entier, âgés de 18 à 35 ans (inclus), sans obligation de parcours scolaire ou de références préalables.

THE YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHIC CREATION AWARD
The Young Photographic Creation Award invites young photographers to develop innovative projects and explore new artistic expressions. Selected artists receive support at every stage: from conception to production of the works, right through to the staging of their exhibition during the festival. Residencies in Normandy provide an ideal setting for research, encounters and experimentation. The works produced will enjoy national and international visibility at the 2026 Planches Contact Festival.
