A new artistic direction for an expanding festival

Planches Contact, the festival that brings together contemporary photography and the Normandy region, enters a new phase of development with the appointment of Jonas Tebib as artistic director.
Art market specialist and curator Jonas Tebib succeeds Laura Serani, who has shaped the festival with exacting standards and passion since 2019. Alongside him, Lionel Charrier, photo director of Libération and a leading figure in photojournalism, will lead the Tremplin Jeunes Talents, one of the festival's most emblematic programs.
In a spirit of openness and anchoring, the new management intends to take the festival to a new level, consolidating its achievements while opening it up even more to the international scene and new photographic styles. With this ambitious and visionary new artistic direction, Planches Contact is more than ever a festival open to the world, a place of experimentation and exchange where the photographic gaze is constantly reinvented.
