Call for applications for the Tremplin Jeunes Talents of the next edition of Planches Contact

Sandrine Boyer Engel

Since its inception, Planches Contact has given pride of place to emerging artists and new generations through the Tremplin Jeunes Talents program, a scheme that each year welcomes four photographers at the start of their careers, selected by a jury of image professionals, for a creative residency.

Four candidates are selected on the basis of an application file, which includes : A project brief, a portfolio of previous work, from one to three series of 15 images each, and a CV. A pre-selection process takes place, before some thirty applications are presented to the Planches Contact jury.

The four selected photographers receive a grant of €6,000, dedicated to the production of the photographic series to be exhibited in autumn 2025. Travel and accommodation costs are covered by the festival.

A selection of five photographs will join the collections of the Franciscaines and the City of Deauville.

Who is the Tremplin Jeunes Talents aimed at?

The call for entries is open to photographers at the start of their careers or students, with an individual or collective project.
The only rule is that they must not yet have had a major monographic exhibition or publication.
Participation is free and open to photographers from all over the world, with no age, academic or reference limits.

You have until December 10, 2024 to submit your application for the next edition of the Tremplin Jeunes Talents.
